FEATURED PROJECT - ROCKY MOUNTAIN CLASSICAL ACADEMY
Owner: Rocky Mountain Classical Academy
Architect: CRP Architects
Completion Date: January 2015
This new PK-8th grade school facility is the largest, most comprehensive charter school building in the state. Within the design, emphasis was placed on learning environments that support the Core Knowledge program, which serves as the basis for the educational delivery model. The building is organized into three academic wings based on grade level. Each wing contains core curriculum classrooms as well as exploratory learning spaces. The center of the building houses the Commons, food service, administration, library and athletics. With a total of 47 core classrooms, the school’s design capacity is 1,175 students. The programmatic and architectural centerpiece of the school is a two story library that will faces towards the mountains. Featuring large expanses of glass, this space opens on to a roof garden which will further enhance learning opportunities by providing an outdoor classroom for studying nature and sustainability.
"Without exception, I found the entire JHL staff to be experienced, well-trained, courteous, and dedicated to the success of my project. They met every challenge on this difficult and fast-paced project with a flexibility and a 'can-do' attitude. I highly recommend JHL Constructors to anyone who is in need of quality work."
- Heidi Roge, CU Housing & Dining Services
"We brought in JHL and presented them with our limited budget and our grand vision. JHL completely nailed our vision and goals. They always worked hard to solve our problems and I felt like we got the very best value for every dollar on our project. I can't say enough about the professionals at JHL. I credit them with delivering a product I am not sure others could."

"JHL not only gave us hours of their patient time in helping us through the process, but they actually came down and met with our investors and helped us seal the deal and gain our financing, which was huge."
- Chrisitanna Fogler, Rocky Mountain Classical Academy
"JHL has been a valuable partner for DRM on many projects. To say JHL has been an asset to us would be an understatement. They have an unmatched level of commitment at the principal level, an incredibly skilled preconstruction team, and top notch operations staff. They treated our budget like it is their own personal dollars at stake and we really appreciate that being a non-profit."
- Dave Schunk, Denver Rescue Mission
