JHL Constructors performed design-build services on this new 60,000 square foot high school. The hybrid wood-framed and concrete tilt-up building includes fifteen general classrooms, department offices, a computer lab, three science classrooms, a gymnasium with locker rooms, art room, music room, library media center, commons/cafeteria with a stage, and administration areas. Phase II included a 9,000 square foot classroom addition.

“We actually had another contractor we were working with at the start of the project and we ended up switching mid-stream due to conflict, and JHL has been phenomenal in that regard. JHL listened to us. I don’t think you see that with a lot of contractors. I think often times with these projects, there’s sometimes tension. I have never experienced that. In fact, I feel like I sit in the room with the architects, contractor and our owners’ rep and specifically, JHL –they absolutely have our back. They’re looking out for our best interest at every turn. JHL certainly understands the fiscal challenges we have surrounding these projects, the budget restraints and at the same, they see us all as unique schools with unique visions and missions and really try to incorporate that into our design. I certainly hope to work with JHL again.”
