Sturm Collaboration Campus

This innovative facility sits on a 14.9-acre campus in the heart of Castle Rock. The campus is a progressive cross-partnership between Arapahoe Community College, Colorado State University, Douglas County School District, Town of Castle Rock, and several local Colorado businesses. Applied learning areas on campus include cyber security, secure software development, business, accounting, entrepreneurship and health care. These applied learning centers offer students hands-on learning experiences and opportunities to build relationships with businesses and professionals in the South-Metro and Denver-Metro area. To solidify the associations with surrounding businesses, the campus features multiple leased spaces within the building, as well as a community room, a maker space, administrative support space, and adjoining outdoor event spaces.

“JHL’s leadership as the general contractor for our new community college campus was forward thinking and innovative. It exceeded our expectations. The campus design and build supports our leadership efforts in delivering education in collaboration with local industry and community groups in flexible and tech forward spaces. Since Colorado State University, Douglas County School District, the local workforce center, and several industry partners are all co-located with Arapahoe Community College; JHL worked to execute a highly inclusive design and build process along with DLR group that involved all stakeholders.”
