The Aurora Highlands CMaR

JHL is currently providing CMaR services at The Aurora Highlands, a master planned 4,000-acre community development for the Aerotropolis Area Coordinating Metropolitan District in Aurora, Colorado. Construction includes new interchanges up to E470 and I-70, numerous bridges, trunk line and distribution utilities, roadways, electrical, landscaping, tributary drainage ways, earthwork, parks, open space, and various metropolitan district facilities. Over the next five years, JHL will deliver this phased community that is expected to attract over 45,000 residents. At completion, the community will have 21 miles of trails, 12 neighborhood parks, 20 pocket parks, a large 100-acre park (Highlands Creek Park) that will feature public art installations, performance plazas, climbing walls, a zip line, embankment slides, nature play and linear challenge courses, as well as a kinetic sculpture garden and pollinator gardens. Recreational facilities planned include an indoor pool and water park, lap pool, climbing wall, basketball court, and other features.
