JHL Constructors Breaks Ground on the Silverthorne Recreation Expansion Project
Silverthorne, CO – JHL Constructors, in partnership with the Town of Silverthorne, Collab Architecture, and the Artaic Group, officially broke ground on the highly anticipated expansion of the Silverthorne Recreation Center (SRC).
Adam Fernan, Construction Executive at JHL, shared his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “We’re honored to partner with the Town of Silverthorne on a project that directly invests in the well-being of this vibrant community. The Recreation Center has always been a place for people to connect, stay active, and thrive — and this expansion will ensure it continues to grow alongside the community’s needs.”
The 23,000-square-foot expansion marks the next chapter in the SRC’s commitment to supporting an active, healthy lifestyle for both residents and visitors. Once complete, the enhanced facility will continue to serve as a welcoming hub for health, wellness, and community connection for years to come.
Designed by Collab Architecture with valuable input from staff, stakeholders, and community members, the project will feature expanded fitness areas, dedicated youth spaces, new administrative offices, increased storage, and a versatile multi-activity court (MAC) gym.
Ryan May, Project Manager at JHL, also shared his excitement for the project, adding, “It’s exciting to see this project break ground after so much thoughtful collaboration with the Town, the design team, and the community. We’re proud to help bring this vision to life and can’t wait to see the expanded Recreation Center become an even more dynamic space for Silverthorne residents and visitors.”
The Silverthorne Recreation Center will remain open throughout construction, with completion anticipated in Summer 2026.
