Salisbury Regional Park Phase 1
The Salisbury Regional Park Expansion enhances one of the community’s most active recreation hubs with new athletic fields, amenities, and infrastructure to support future growth. This project expands the existing park through significant earthwork and site improvements, including dirt import, wet utility extensions, new access roadways, and two parking lots to improve circulation and accessibility.
New park amenities feature four natural grass baseball fields and two synthetic turf soccer/multi-use fields, all equipped with field lighting and connected by accessible sidewalks. The project also includes a new 2,200 square foot restroom and office building, playground, batting cages, shade structures, and upgrades to an existing baseball field and concession stand.
The 91-acre property is centrally located within the community and bordered by Motsenbocker Road to the west. The site’s natural setting includes the Cherry Creek drainage area and Regional Trail, as well as protected habitat within the Town’s Riparian Conservation Zone, home to the threatened Preble’s Meadow Jumping Mouse.
Building on the Salisbury Park North Master Plan, approved in 2014, this expansion continues the Town’s long-term vision for a regional recreation destination that complements the existing Salisbury Sports and Equestrian Park to the south. The project strengthens the connection between open space, active recreation, and community amenities while supporting the Town’s ongoing infrastructure improvements, including the planned Dransfeldt Road extension.
