September 2022 – Ribbon Cutting, Pinnacle Charter School

Thornton, CO – On the afternoon of Friday, September 9, Pinnacle Charter School celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new athletic complex and field. The milestone completion was celebrated with the community as well as administration, students, and staff.

“Today is a great day. The Team at Pinnacle has been great to work with. We had some notable challenges with the supply chain and existing conditions, but the team stayed focused, implemented creative solutions, and overcame them all. At one point we even had to get City Council approval on a critical nighttime water shutdown. All of that is behind us and now it’s time for Pinnacle’s athletes to take the field and secure their wins,” said Sr. Project Manager Aimée Clode, LEED AP.

Located within the city of Thornton, the project is visible from I-25 & 84th Avenue. Individuals close to the project indicate it was a true collaboration between the City of Thornton, Anser Advisory and Pinnacle Charter School. The Denver Broncos donated $250,000 earlier in the year through the NFL Foundation and their grassroots program focused on providing youth football players and other athletes spectacular places to play and excel in sports.

Designed by Hord Coplan Macht, the project includes a new synthetic athletic field and 12,000 SF, two-story field house. Site work included a new parking lot along with extensive civil engineering improvements. The project spans 11 acres that was purchased by the school in Spring 2020.

The day was further enhanced by the school’s first home game of the season beginning at 7 pm.
