December 2019 – Colorado Skies Academy Groundbreaking

Centennial, CO – On Friday, December 13, 2019, Colorado Skies Academy, JHL Constructors, Hollis + Miller Architects, and Wember, Inc. celebrated the groundbreaking of the new school facility at Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight.

Colorado SKIES Academy is a new, tuition-free public charter school through Cherry Creek School District that supports hands-on, project-based curriculum to 6-8 grade students with interests in the aerospace and aviation industries. The new facility will include an open-concept floor plan throughout the building with flexible and technologically advanced classroom and study spaces, and maker spaces to utilize 3D printers and other manufacturing practices.

Colorado SKIES Academy is located next to Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight at Centennial Airport with the intention to provide young people vital hands-on experience with glider flight.
