Grand Opening of The Lofts on Monaco
Denver, Colo. – JHL Constructors (JHL) joined Shea Properties, Davis Partnership, and community leaders to celebrate the grand opening of The Lofts on Monaco, an innovative adaptive reuse project that transformed a vacant office building into affordable housing for the Denver community.
Located at 4340 S. Monaco Parkway, the former Invesco office building has been reimagined as a vibrant residential community featuring 143 affordable apartment units. The project is among the first of many office-to-residential conversions in Denver. This project demonstrates how existing vacant commercial buildings can be thoughtfully repurposed to address the region’s growing housing needs.
“Converting an office building into residential housing required extensive coordination, creative problem-solving, and careful planning from start to finish,” said Aimée Clode, Senior Project Manager at JHL. “By working closely with Davis Partnership and our trade partners, we were able to identify challenges early, develop practical solutions, and successfully integrate new building systems while preserving the existing structure.”
The completed community offers a mix of studio to four-bedroom apartments, each designed to provide high-quality, affordable housing for households earning up to 70% of the area’s median income. Residents also have access to a variety of thoughtfully designed amenities, including a children’s playroom, fitness center, resident lounge, bike storage, and dog wash station. Reflecting JHL’s expertise in adaptive reuse and multi-family construction, this project supports sustainable housing development by extending the life of an existing structure.

As residents continue moving in, The Lofts on Monaco serves as an example of how innovative construction solutions can transform existing spaces into vibrant communities that will serve Colorado for years to come.
