JHL Constructors Elevates Marketing and Business Development Departments

JHL Constructors (JHL) grew its Marketing and Business Development departments to seven professionals this year. With decades of expertise between them in design, relationship building, promotional strategies, and more, these individuals are poised to propel JHL forward.

Travis White leads the two departments as Director of Marketing and Business Development. His work spans from focusing on business growth and expansion, to seeking creative ways to bring JHL’s goals and visions to life. Driven by his passion for constant improvement, he consistently finds efficient and effective ways to grow and benefit his team through continued education, challenging goals, and creative assignments. His determination to build his team members’ strengths along with his big picture thinking, led to the creation of two new department roles and a well-deserved promotion this year

“We have a Leadership Team who trusted us enough to empower the next generation of talent and leadership within the company”, said Travis. “We’re fortunate enough to have a culture where we’re able to hone in on everyone’s talent and as a result, create positions that highlight those unique skillsets”.

Brad Schmahl has been with the company for over 19 years and, as Business Development Manager, continues his focus on the K-12 Education and Affordable Housing markets; two key areas within JHL’s diverse work program. Throughout his career, he’s had a long and successful track record of business growth and development by continuously building JHL’s brand reputation, reaching potential clients, and strengthening business relationships. Specializing in his respective markets, he truly believes in our trademark, ‘Building Colorado’s Future’, and seeks to share our passion and desire to provide the highest quality learning environment for the next generation.

Alexandra Gish brings a wealth of knowledge and invaluable relationships to her role as Business Development Manager. As a key JHL Team member, she fosters opportunities and business partnerships to support the company’s growth and strategic vision. She seeks to establish enduring relationships in the industry through a client-focused approach. Her passion is to truly connect with people and to implement strategies aimed at sharing our company culture and continuously improving the client’s experience with JHL.

Emi Fitzsimons’ management approach focuses on collaboration and clear communication. Since starting her career in the A/E/C industry as an Administrative/Marketing Assistant, she has grown through the ranks and is now Marketing Director. Throughout her years of experience, she has developed a reputation as a reliable and formidable Professional who prioritizes developing and nurturing relationships. She believes that the best teams are those that come together and enhance each other’s strengths.

Jocelyn Taylor, JHL’s first Communications Manager, is committed to advancing JHL’s mission and purpose through cultivating the firm’s best stories and sharing them through marketing collateral, press releases, social media and more. As former Communications Chairperson for the SMPS Connecticut Chapter, she utilizes her experience in this role to create engaging content that promotes JHL within the industry. Recognizing the passion we have as a Colorado-based, Colorado-focused construction firm, she is enthusiastic about getting involved in the communities in which we live, work and play through outreach and giving back initiatives.

Brianna Hallmark’s design philosophy is sleek and modern while also deeply rooted in the company’s history and culture. This creative perspective drives her approach as the newly created, Brand Manager. She seeks creative design solutions to build the company’s brand while maintaining the identity that John Hachmeister established when founding the company more than 35 years ago. She is committed to creating a clear and compelling company, employer, and employee brand by implementing marketing initiatives that support JHL’s business objectives and align with our culture.

Sarah Stellor has been a key player in developing and fostering JHL’s culture over her 18 years with the company, and now focuses on that purpose, as JHL’s Director of Culture. Sarah worked side-by-side with John Hachmeister and was able to gain a true understanding of the vision and values he had for JHL. The value that John placed in his people, and the creation of a supportive “all-in” culture is a cornerstone of her work today. Sarah works collaboratively with the marketing department to create and communicate the JHL cultural experience, both internally and externally.

Our Marketing Team is continuing to grow with the addition of a Proposal Manager. This position plays a key role in our marketing and business development strategic efforts and will lead and manage the proposal development process while also assisting with other marketing initiatives.

“This is an exciting time for the Marketing department. We’re finishing out the year ahead of our goals, and we have a strong vision moving into 2023,” said Emi. “Our Team is currently the strongest it’s ever been and we’re ecstatic to have the resources and drive to achieve our strategic objectives. We’re looking for a creative, collaborative, and humble teammate who is ready to take their career to new heights and join a truly team-oriented company”.
